Art is very spiritual to me. It reflects our most basic human experiences and emotions -- life and death, joy and sorrow. The Saint John’s Bible, with its illuminated passages from both the Old and New Testaments, will have tremendous spiritual and artistic value. I am particularly pleased that the artwork with be contemporary and that it will embrace the many cultures of the world. It will no doubt be the subject of many exhibitions in years to come.
