The Saint John's Bible Forward to a Friend

Happy New Year! We hope the holidays were meaningful for you and you have already had a good start to 2010. We have high hopes for 2010 and are honored to have you accompanying us on the journey. If you are interested in experiencing The Saint John's Bible beyond the computer screen, we strongy encourage you to seek out one of the many Heritage Editions that are displayed throughout the country (and the world!). In addition to wonderful displays, many of these institutions are beginning to offer studies, classes and discussions focused on the scripture and The Saint John's Bible. This newsletter and our website has a comprehensive list of the many locations where you can view The Saint John's Bible Heritage Edition.

As New Decade Begins, The Saint John's Bible Found around the World

A New Year and a new decade find The Saint John's Bible reaching more people in more places around the world. Thanks to generous benefactors, colleges, universities, museums, libraries and churches across the United States and Europe are receiving and displaying gifts of the Heritage Edition, the fine art reproduction of The Saint John's Bible, thanks to generous benefactors. For these institutions, it is a chance for visitors, students, faculty, parishioners and patrons to view beautiful images and text and to pause and reflect on the Sacred.

Having the fine art reproduction on college or university campuses has students turning a page each day and art and theology faculty incorporating the Heritage Edition into their curriculum. Religious and lay people are discussing how they can use the volumes in liturgy and faith formation in their churches and chapels. With the Heritage Edition now part of their permanent collection, curators and museum directors are exhibiting an astonishing array of art along with the fine art reproduction volumes.

By receiving and displaying the fine art edition, institutions are helping to fulfill the mission of sharing The Saint John's Bible and igniting the spiritual imaginations of people around the world. An original work of art in its own right, the Heritage Edition is the only full-size, limited edition, signed and numbered fine art reproduction that will ever be produced. In all, 299 fine art reproductions will be created and placed in religious, arts, academic and cultural institutions around the world. The first was presented to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on April 4, 2008. Upon viewing the pages, Pope Benedict exclaimed: "This is a work of art … this is a great work of art … this is a work for eternity."
