Follow the Journey

“My experience with The Saint John’s Bible was love at first sight. It radiates hope and speaks to people of all faith journeys.”

Tita Crilly Diepenbrock,
Donor of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition
to Santa Clara University

Santa Clara University received the Heritage Edition in Dec. 2008. Upon accepting a gift of the Heritage Edition, former Santa Clara University President Paul L. Locatelli, S.J. said: “If you’ve seen the Book of Kells, you will want to see The Saint John’s Bible.” Locatelli stated: “One of the exciting aspects of this gift is the way our faculty in scripture, history and literature will use it as a teaching and scholarship resource,” said Locatelli. The fine art reproduction is a gift from Tita Crilly Diepenbrock, the widow of 1951 Santa Clara University alumnus James Diepenbrock. After first seeing the original artwork on exhibition at the Tacoma Art Museum, Diepenbrock knew she wanted a reproduction of The Saint John’s Bible on the West Coast for viewing and for educational purposes.
