Follow the Journey

“My experience with The Saint John’s Bible was love at first sight. It radiates hope and speaks to people of all faith journeys.”

Tita Crilly Diepenbrock,
Donor of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition
to Santa Clara University

The Wisdom Books volume of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition was presented to Oakland’s Cathedral of Christ the Light on March 7, 2009. Rev. Paul Minnihan, provost of the Cathedral of Christ the Light, received the volume on behalf of the Diocese of Oakland during a Vigil Mass celebrated by Rev. Minnihan. The presentation took place in the recently dedicated 1,300-seat cathedral where the Heritage Edition will be on permanent display in a future museum space. The cathedral will eventually receive all seven volumes. The Heritage Edition, which was presented to the Cathedral of Christ the Light by Abbot John Klassen, OSB, is a gift from Saint John’s University at the request of Dan and Katharine Whalen, residents of Oakland and parishioners of Saint Theresa Parish in the Diocese of Oakland.
