Chris Tomlin
Natural History Illustrator
Chris Tomlin has always had a keen interest in the natural world and also
in drawing and painting. He decided quite early in life that his ideal
career could be created by merging the two subjects.
After many years studying at different art colleges,
he graduated from The Royal College of Art in London where he spent two
years studying for a Masters Degree in Natural History Illustration (1998-2000).
He has so far been commissioned by a variety of publishers and organizations
such as Oxford University Press and The National Trust.
Chris' illustration career has also
taken him to countries as far as Madagascar, where he spent time studying
the endangered flora and fauna in the countrys tropical rainforests.
