Reactions to Illuminating the Word: The Saint John's Bible

Part of the mission of The Saint John's Bible is to ignite the spiritual imagination among people of faith throughout the world.  Reactions and comments by guests demonstrate the power and relevance of the project to the twenty-first century.  One of the docents at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts made the following observation:

The Bible had an effect on the crowds that I have not seen in any tours I have given before.  They seemed to take ownership. Each group became a community of sharing.  Those we would gather along the way were welcomed.  By the last room everyone was sharing with each other. After the tour people lingered to talk with those they had met on the tour, many times with tears in their eyes.  It seemed that the Bible’s message was brought to life.

Developing a "community of sharing," is one way The Saint John's Bible is glorifying God's word and giving voice to the marginalized in the true spirit of Christianity.  Please spend time reading the reactions and appreciating the many ways in which The Saint John's Bible has become a Bible for our time.
